Featured Features – Week 4
Welcome back to another week of our series Featured Features. Last week I covered Extension Dialing, Call Transfer, Call Group, and Call Queue. Today I will be going over Call Monitoring, Conference Bridging, Intercom, and Paging. You may notice that other companies may charge extra for some of these features. With Telonium they are just included in your service because, well, that’s just the way we think it should be.
Call Monitoring – Often used for training purposes, call monitoring allows for certain authorized users to listen in on other member’s calls. It can be used to audit the quality of service that your employees are providing or give them the ability to learn the ropes by listening in on an expert.
TIPS: A couple great tools within call monitoring are the whisper and barge features. Whisper allows you to talk to your employee on the call without the other person hearing. Barging on the other hand, allows you to speak to the customer. This can be incredibly helpful if it becomes necessary for you to take over the call.
Conference Bridging – Need to host a conference meeting over the phone? Our service includes this feature (for free!) so your clients can simply call your office number to join the conference.
TIPS: Great for companies who often have employees out of the office, whether they are working from home or on the road. The conference bridge makes connecting those employees into a conference call ridiculously easy.
Intercom – Gone are the days of shouting across the office to get your co-workers’ attention. Unless you like doing that, of course. Our two-way intercom feature allows you to reach a co-worker easily by turning on their speakerphone automatically.
TIPS: We all know how much fun walkie talkies can be, but try not to have TOO much fun with this feature.
Paging – Have an announcement to make to the entire office? Paging is similar to the intercom feature, but you can reach out to every phone in the office and turn it into a loud speaker. All with a simple dial. You’ll feel like you’re back in school listening to the morning announcements.
TIPS: Here’s a great paging announcement to try out – “Free food in the break room!”
